Deacon Earl Rogers grew up the eldest male child of his parents six children. He was
born in Lawrence, MA, and raised in Salem, NH. He joined the U.S. Naval Reserves while still attending Salem High School, serving 2 years reserve duty and 2 years active duty, in the Atlantic Fleet. After separating from the Navy, he moved to N.M. where he worked for a year before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1960. He met and married his wife, Clara, in Denver, Colorado, while attending training at Lowrey AFB. He served eight years in the active Air Force in Colorado, New York, Germany, and Kansas, then three years in the Air National Guard. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Albuquerque in 1973 in Criminology. His Master's Degree is in Criminal Justice Administration. He has worked in the law enforcement field for over 20 years in both the public and private sectors. Earl joined the U.S. Army Reserves and has served over 33 years in the military, retiring in 1998. He has been a teacher of Special Education in NM and Ohio, as well as a substitute teacher for grades K-12. |
